Arlene Brooks - In Loving Memory

It is with a heavy heart I share that Arlene Brooks, Washington State Executive Director and Past President of the Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018. Arlene was President from 1995 through 1996 and held the job of Washington State Director 2003-2010 and then was appointed to fill a vacancy in that position in December 2017.
Arlene has been dealing with an infection in her legs/feet for several weeks, on Wednesday the doctors found cancer which she succumbed to on Friday.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bob and son Bobby. Bob was a former Competition Chairman and served as the Association Parliamentarian for many years. She also sat on the NOVA funding committee for many years. They belonged to the Green River Valley Jeepers and then the PNW Individual Members Club.
As many of you know if she said “Have you thought about?”, that meant you better be getting it done or, if she saw you with your hands in your pockets she had a job for you.
Through the years Arlene has made many friends within and outside of the Association. She is highly respected in the off-road community and with government officials. She leaves behind numerous family and friends who will miss her guidance and support.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life on October 6th, 2018 12pm-2pm, at the Lakeland Community Center 5801 Lakeland Hills SE, Auburn, WA.  (Please bring a potluck dish to share).
